Home Vigil & Deathbed Rituals

As part of their end-of-life training, our doulas are skilled bedside companions. Doulas will sit vigil through active dying stages and guide the dying person and their families through symptoms. They provide care and guidance as to what is happening and what to expect next. 

Doulas provide after-death care of the body and will guide loved ones (if interested) in washing, dressing, placement and disposition. Doulas create deathbed rituals that often involve music, poetry, prayer, serene lighting and essential oils in an effort to bring beauty and meaning to loss and grief.

End-of-Life Care and Body Care Support $40-$100/hour.
